  • Kabir graduated in 2014 and has been a practicing legal professional since then. From 2015 to 2021, he was employed with the Human Rights Law Network, holding the position of Director of the Right to Housing Initiative in his last role. Currently, he serves as the Director of Law at the Brave Souls Foundation.

    Over the years, Kabir has had the opportunity to work on numerous cases encompassing a wide range of issues, including women's rights, reproductive rights, gender justice, sexual offenses, LGBTQI+ rights, and the protection of children from sexual violence, among others.

    A notable case that demonstrated his expertise was Amita R Sangma v. State of Meghalaya WP(Crl) 433_2018, High Court Meghalaya. This case involved the harrowing assault on award-winning women activists, Ms. Amita R Sangma and Ms. Agnes Kharshing, dedicated to addressing environmental and gender violence issues. The incident occurred in Shillong, Meghalaya. He traveled from Delhi to Shillong on the same day and filed a petition with the Meghalaya High Court, seeking orders for the security and free treatment of the survivors. The court granted these orders promptly the next day.
