Dance for Mental Health
Dance for Mental Health (dMh), is an India based digital mental healthcare organisation founded by Deepa Avula, a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and Couples Therapist. Since 2019, dMh has been offering online psychotherapy to adults and couples/families from an embodied systems approach, through a team of DMT clinicians. Besides clinical psychotherapy, dMh undertakes psychosocial projects focused on prevention and well-being.
With a shared mission of community wellness, dMh and TCR are designing a novel program aimed at the prevention of gender-based violence in Indian universities and schools using trauma-informed dance/movement therapy.
