This academic circle, geared towards restorative justice practitioners, introduced participants to transitional justice in the international context. We compared commonalities, contradictions, and gaps in alternative justice practices when it comes to addressing sexual misconduct. The goals of the circle included:

• familiarising participants with the idea and practices of transitional justice, in comparative relation to restorative justice;
• creating a space to explore the overlaps and ambiguities in these concepts;
• facilitating academic interactions without the compulsion of having to arrive at answers or resolutions.
