About: The Coping Central as a mental health organisation works towards making conversations around mental health more accessible, inclusive, and supportive. We promise you therapeutic care which keeps you at the centre of your story. We provide a holistic approach towards therapy, working with your emotions, bodies, relationships, and the context you are in. Our aim is to make conversations around mental health easier, more accessible, inclusive, and supportive. At The Coping Central, in the simplest of words, we hope to make therapy “non-scary”- which means that our process is open, transparent, and the therapeutic journey is constantly co-created with our clients. Our therapists work with a social justice approach and are also neurodivergence affirmative. In the therapy room, we bring our learnings, experiences, humanness, humour, lots of compassion, and awareness of our responsibility as a therapist.

About the Founder: Utkarsha Jagga founded The Coping Central with the aim of making conversations around mental health easier and more accessible. Utkarsha is a counselling psychologist, narrative practitioner, and a sexuality educator. Utkarsha is passionate about demystifying the process of therapy, and breaking down emotional vocabulary into easier, everyday language because she understands the role language plays in the giant barrier that exists between mental health needs and the accessibility of help. In the therapy room, she hopes to work towards making space for all emotions, lots of metaphors, and an undercurrent of humour!

  • Starting therapy at our organisation is super easy! We give you the choice between our therapists, their fee, and their expertise and you can choose whoever fits you best. Our team helps you pick a therapist, organise introduction calls (if needed), coordinate the payments, and book your first session for you - you just have to show up!

  • We are currently a team of 4 therapists, with fee ranging from Rs. 900 to Rs 3000 (for Indian clients; fee differs slightly for NRI clients). The fee is based on the therapist's experience, expertise, and their niche. We often open sliding scale slots to be able to accommodate as many requests as possible.

  • Individual therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed therapy, neurodivergent affirmative care, queer affirmative therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, DBT, body/somatic based therapeutic approaches, IFS therapy, and relational therapy.

  • Our consent forms assure confidentiality to the client and the client notes are saved safely on a protected platform. Additionally, in trainings and supervision, no identifying details about the clients are ever shared.
