Deeksha Puri (she/her)

Deeksha is an independent researcher who leads the Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) project at TCR, leveraging a profound background in social psychology and rigorous research methodologies.

Previously, Deeksha contributed as a Project Coordinator at the Ghosh Research Group, focusing on factors mediating trauma outcomes among women impacted by intimate partner violence. Currently, she holds dual roles as a Lab Coordinator and Research Assistant at the Identity and Intergroup Relations Lab, where her work delves into incel traits, masculinity threat, and extremism.

Deeksha holds a B.Sc. in Psychology with a Minor in Creative Writing from Ashoka University, where her capstone thesis explored modern media’s influence on attitudes towards gay men. She is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Social and Cultural Psychology at the London School of Economics.

Recognised as a 2023 One Future Fellow, Deeksha is dedicated to advancing feminist leadership in South Asia. Her research focuses on intergroup relations, violence, and prejudice, driven by a commitment to promoting social justice and fostering solidarity across communities.
