  • Sex positivity is a way of being that allows autonomy, safety, consent, and embraces the diversity of sexual expression. It is moving through with the non-judgemental approach towards the rigid systems set by the society. An overarching way, to be able to explore, embody and experience with no shame or stigma associated.

  • Being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community entails elements of empathy, kindness, support, and non-judgement. To contain a space of inclusivity, respecting diversity, and advocating in little ways making the community feel belonged within the society. From being informed, speaking up, and supporting, it all lies within the realms of being an ally.

  • Trauma informed care for survivors involves an understanding towards the stress responses and common reactions to the trauma. It is important for the trauma survivor to eventually have awareness about normalising these reactions and responses due to an abnormal situation/s. It is pivotal for the trauma survivors to feel held, supported, and experience resilience in the safe way.

  • I usually start and end the session with an opening and a closing ritual as a way to transition from one state to another. The sessions usually look like offering autonomy in the space for the client to share if there is something they would like to bring in. This further picks up onto a deeper awareness with either movement and body exploration or talking through followed by processing with art or journaling. As mentioned, the session ends with a closing ritual.
