  • I understand sex and sexuality as an healthy and integral experience of us as humans. Both sex and sexuality need to be viewed as a spectrum rather than from the lenses of binary ideas. Shame, guilt and judgement need not be associated with sex or sexuality.

  • To advocate and engage in supporting queer community. I am someone who follows the policy of “ask and not assume.” While introducing myself, I share my pronouns. I ask my clients for their pronouns and names which they would want me to use. I share my pronouns on social media handles as well as communication channels. I update myself with articles, courses and media. Using “they/them” pronouns while talking about third person. I have references for therapists and support groups who are queer affirmative in their beliefs and practice.

  • Outcomes are different and unique to each individuals. How does an outcome for a therapy looks like, is not for me to decide. I provide resources and techniques to regulate their emotions and nervous systems. Working through shame and guilt is one way of regulating systems.

  • A typical session is filled with genuine warmth, care, empathy and gentleness. There is silence in the sessions. At times, the session is also filled with laughter and jokes. There is an invitation to talk about problem areas as well as preferred territory. I understand therapy is a collaborative space between therapist and client. The pace of the session is decided by the client.
