  • I think sex positivity simply put can mean that individuals have capacity explore, to embody, and to understand their sexuality and gender preferences with ample holding space and non-judgement.

  • In my work, I understand being an ally by making space for the clients personal pronouns, and also stating mine, along with constantly educating myself in understanding queer and trans folkx’s concerns. I am mindful of my own privilege in the world and in the therapeutic room, and strive to create a safe, non-judgemental, and compassionate space for the individual to be seen and heard for who they are.

  • In my experience, there isn't any one outcome of trauma work. Healing is an ongoing journey and when clients can be present to their capacity to hold and make space for their traumatic memories, and meet these parts with compassion and holding, is when the journey of healing begins.

  • I understand therapy as a collaborative process, one where therapist and client work together to move towards a place of safety and understanding. A relationship that is built on trust and empathy. The direction and movement in session depends on what the client needs at that moment.
